God's Tribe

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Summary:

In an America destroyed by war and sunk in depravity, scavenger Paul is rescued by Rebecca, a member of the Believer Tribe, and needs healing in both body and soul. Will she be able to overcome the turmoil about her own path of service as well as her feelings for Paul, and lead him to the truth of the Gospel before his radical ideas disrupt the tribe and threaten their evangelical mission?

Review:
I will say over all I really enjoyed this book; however, there was something missing; this book was so easy to walk away from to do other things, and it took me a week to complete it. If you look at the overall  developments of the plot, it’s complex and complete. The characters are also complex, with many twists that sneak up on you and shock you as you didn’t think that would happen. You can feel the emotions; the dialogue sounds and feels real.

I didn’t see any grammatical errors, so the book was edited thoroughly, which adds to the enjoyment of the story as a whole.

Conclusion:

Would I recommend this book to others? YES

Would I read other books written by this Author? YES

Is this book a Novel or Novella? Novel

Is this book priced correctly? Yes on all accounts….

Price of Angels (Dartmoor, #2)

Price of Angels (Dartmoor, #2)
By Lauren Gilley

SUMMARY
Holly Jessup came to Knoxville in search of the Lean Dogs MC, hoping to find a killer among them. She’s spent four months cozying up to Sgt. at Arms Michael, and it’s time to make her move.

Michael McCall isn’t in the habit of accepting contract hits, but Holly isn’t the kind of girl who chases after Dogs. She’s petrified, and infatuated, and she might be the first woman to see him for the man he is, rather than the outlaw he seems. Maybe, for Holly, he can become St. Michael at last.

After the events of FEARLESS, the Lean Dogs can’t afford any more scandals. Michael never expected he’d be the one to bend the rules. And no one thought his feelings for one woman could shake the balance of the Tennessee underworld.

REVIEW
Again I am speechless....wow what a read! This one though was even more tramatic then the first. I has horrified at what happened to Holly. I have never wanted revenge for anyone as bad as I wanted for her. That line of doing bad things for good is so true.

I loved this book too. Micheal is even more complicated then Mercy, if possible. I love how the author develops her characters so well she breathes life into them and you the reader becomes invested and the emotions just roll. I am truly touched by Micheal and Holly's story, because it could be real and I think that is why it hits so hard.

I love that the author pulls in the characters from the previous book and lets their stories go on. I busted out laughing at the family dinner and all the comments...again the expectation of not living up to your parents views again rings so true. I got a tad pissed off at Ghost in this one that he even considered what he did. This Shaman guy is bad news.....I hope Lean Dog justice finds him sooner then later.

A Tremendous second book, but beware it is not for the faint of heart!

Fearless (Dartmoor, #1)

Fearless (Darmoor, #1)
By Lauren Gilley

SUMMARY
Ava Teague left for college with a busted heart and a deeply ingrained love for her biker family. She returns home to Knoxville for grad school, just in time for her father to accept the burden of president…and for Mercy Lécuyer to roll back into town, looking to patch into the Tennessee chapter once more. She’ll steer clear of him, she tells herself. She has a new life, a new boyfriend, and a new outlook. But she can’t shake her DNA. And maybe she doesn’t want to.

Felix Lécuyer left the swamps of Louisiana for a life as an outlaw biker named Mercy, but it was his family, and the retribution he dealt because of it, that made him famous within the club. Fourteen years ago he fled New Orleans for Knoxville, to become an extractor and bodyguard within the mother chapter, guarding Ghost Teague’s family, becoming a constant companion to little Ava. When she was seventeen, he finally crossed the line. Now she’s twenty-two, and he’s back in town as an old nemesis rears its ugly head, and puts the entire club in danger. The fate of the club is uncertain, but Mercy has no doubts about his heart; it still belongs to Ava.

REVIEW
Ten stars!!! Why isn't there a rating of TEN STARS!!!!

FREAKING A, this was a GREAT book! I LOVED IT! Wow I am in total awe of this book and I am almost crying because it is over. I am in total love with Mercy! And have a total girl crush on Ava!

This book had it all: murder, evil bad guys, jealousy, revenge, love, sexiness, alpha males, alpha females, plot twists, blood, guts, more love, father/daughter issues, mother/daughter issues, spies, police, corruption, more love, motorcycles, forgiveness and acceptance. This was KICK ASS!!!

I loved it all! I really did not have any gripes with any of what went down. The characters were beautifully complicated, but you understood where they were coming from and what drove their choices and actions. Yes the lines of right and wrong were crossed and recrossed and the age old saying of looks can be deceiving holds truer then ever. Again it is what is on the inside that counts...your heart!

As you can see I LOVED this book I am on to the next installment and the next. This also cleared up my view on the spin off I read before this. I recommend this first before Snow in Texas.

READ this book and I hope you LOVE it as much as I did!

The Dirty Secret

The Dirty Secret
By Kira A. Gold

SUMMARY
From the Desk of Donna Edith…

My services are unconventional. My clients come to me with needs and I match them to other clients with needs of their own…

Promising young architect Killian Fitzroy: Driven, clever, eager to prove himself. Starved for sex, though he’s come to me for professional assistance, not personal. Needs: Someone unique, creative and fast. An artist with a feminine perspective to breathe life into a house he’s built.

Aspiring scenic designer Vessa Ratham: Sensuous, spontaneous, but secretive. Recently returned to Vermont armed with an art degree that qualifies her for little more than waiting tables. Needs: An opportunity to shine.

Yes, Killian and Vessa will satisfy each other nicely—in more ways than one.

REVIEW
Sexy read with lots of plot, but for some reason I just didn't feel the burn between the H and h. They seemed so aloof to me. I didn't get that "I have to keep turning pages so they are together." Vibe that I want so desperately to have.

The sex was hot, but again missing that spice to take it over the edge. I felt like when I went to see Fifty Shades of Gray, it was meant to be hot but fizzled because the H and h just didn't have "it"

Received a ARC from the publisher for a honest review.

Snow in Texas (Lean Dogs Legacy, #1)

Snow in Texas (Lean Dogs Legacy, #1)
By Lauren Gilley

SUMMARY
From the author of FEARLESS, the first in a new Dartmoor spinoff series:

Colin O’Donnell grew up in a lie, believing the man who raised him was his father, stirring up hell in the Louisiana bayous. A shocking revelation about his parentage led him to his half-brother…and his half-brother’s motorcycle club. Now Colin is a prospect for the Lean Dogs MC, and he’s just been transferred from his home town of New Orleans to Amarillo, Texas, where Vice President Candyman runs a tight ship, and holds tight secrets.

Jenny Snow has spent the last seven years in limbo, waiting for the pain to recede, when she unwittingly catches the eye of the club’s newest prospect. She doesn’t have the time or patience for a biker in her life. If only she can convince herself she truly believes that.

REVIEW
Interesting read. Great start to the series, but since it was a spin off I felt lost sometimes because there was background information that I didn't know. I know the author tried to fill us in stuff, I still felt out of the loop.

Colin is something else...wow hot! I wish I knew more about him though. Not sure he is prospect material he isn't much of a follower. He does have a mind of his own. He isn't always right or wrong, but he knows the difference.

Jenny, wow she has gone through so much! She is one tough cookie. I should have figured out the end, but I am glad for it! I like how she doesn't take Colin's BS. Interesting girl who is finding herself again

Candy, oh my, he is....well woah, not sure how to describe him but I sure wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley. He loves his family and his MC. He will do anything to protect them and I mean anything. I love how he got his name!

Good read, but I was missing stuff to give it a 5 star. I guess I am going to have to read the other series.
