Fan the Flames (Search and Rescue, #2)

Fan the Flames (Search and Rescue, #2)
By Katie Ruggle

SUMMARY
As a Motorcycle Club member and firefighter, Ian Walsh is used to riding the line between the good guys and the bad. He may owe the Club his life, but his heart rests with his fire station brothers...and with the girl he's loved since they were kids, Rory Sorenson. Ian would do anything for Rory. He'd die for her. Kill for her. Defend her to his last breath-and he may just have to.
Every con in the Rockies knows Rory is the go-to girl for less-than-legal firearms, and for the past few years, she's managed to keep the peace between dangerous factions by remaining strictly neutral. But when she defends herself against a brutal attack, Rory finds herself catapulted into the center of a Motorcycle Club war-with only Ian standing between her and a threat greater than either of them could have imagined.
REVIEW
There are no flames to fan!
It was a snore fest and then it picked up about 69% through.  I just wasn't feeling it between the main characters.  They didn't even kiss until 62% in.  It dragged and dragged.  The story was ok it was somewhat interesting, but it couldn't hold my attention.
If you like guns you will like this.  If you like doomsday planning you will like it.  If you like fire  rescue and fire fighting you will like it.
Just didn't thrill me.  Can read this one without reading the first book.

Summary:

New York socialite Caroline Ferriday has her hands full with her post at the French consulate and a new love on the horizon. But Caroline’s world is forever changed when Hitler’s army invades Poland in September 1939—and then sets its sights on France.

An ocean away from Caroline, Kasia Kuzmerick, a Polish teenager, senses her carefree youth disappearing as she is drawn deeper into her role as courier for the underground resistance movement. In a tense atmosphere of watchful eyes and suspecting neighbors, one false move can have dire consequences.

For the ambitious young German doctor, Herta Oberheuser, an ad for a government medical position seems her ticket out of a desolate life. Once hired, though, she finds herself trapped in a male-dominated realm of Nazi secrets and power.

The lives of these three women are set on a collision course when the unthinkable happens and Kasia is sent to Ravensbrück, the notorious Nazi concentration camp for women. Their stories cross continents—from New York to Paris, Germany, and Poland—as Caroline and Kasia strive to bring justice to those whom history has forgotten.

But her determination and bravery are sparking a longing to prove he can be the truly good man she deserves. Review:

This is one of those novels that takes you away to another time and place and from the first page you are hooked and can’t put the book down until you finish it…  This is book three of a three book series. I read the first book, but not the second book as of yet. Even though it’s part of a series they can be read as stand alone books also.

This book is well edited as I didn’t run across any grammatical errors, which make a books flow hard to follow.  This book flows is perfection. The development of the characters is complete. The story line is a fine work of art.  This series is written in such a manner where you picture it in your head as you’re reading.  It would make for a great movie.
