Raw and Dirty (Bad Boys MC Trilogy #1)
By Violet Blaze
SUMMARY
RAW AND DIRTY (BOOK 1 of 3 in the BAD BOYS MC TRILOGY) - a full-length novel, no cliff hanger
Make nice with the President of the Alpha Wolves Motorcycle Club.
Yeah right.
It was what my job description called for—I just never realized exactly how nice I needed to be.
I certainly never expected to find myself twisted up and tangled in the raw, dirty world of an outlaw motorcycle club … or in the sexy, tattooed hands of the man in charge.
Royal McBride is a jerk—but a jerk with a swoon worthy accent, a big bike, and big … well, other things.
I didn't think falling in love with him would threaten my life. His life.
That we'd both risk losing everything we hold dear.
The mayor's daughter … an outlaw MC president.
It's a match made in heaven … a match tested in hell.
REVIEW
Well what to say what to say....there is stuff I really liked and stuff that made me mad....but I think overall I really like this book and I want to read more on Royal and Lyric.
At first I did not like Lyric and I am not sure I really like her now. She is a very opportunistic person and she really doesn't care who gets on her way as long as she gets her way. She went on and on about the woman she replaced and then apparently does exactly what she thinks the replacement does and bags Royal at the first meeting. I didn't like how she judged averyone and felt she was so much better when she really wasn't. Her family is messed up and so is she. Lyric thinks she is so savvy, but there is a crap load of crap going on behind the scenes. She seems to be changing her tune at the end so I hope she can redeem herself in the next book.
Now Royal he is another subject....he is the reason for the 4 stars. He is what he is and doesn't make excuses. He has remorse and his own code of right and wrong. I don't particularly like how he treated Lyric at times but he always seems to realize what he has done and tries to make up. He has lots of depth and you almost can sense he wants to live his own life and may step down as the Prez one day. I also like how he watches and listens before truly acting. Sexy Alpha with tatoos!
The sex is hot and dirty. Dirty talking and spontaneous. HOT! It is not slow and sweet and I don't think every will be between them so don't expect it or be disappointed by it.
Good read had to finish quick and can't wait for the next one. There are lots of unanswered questions and a plot to find out!

Summary:
New York Times bestselling author Violet Duke kicks off her
sizzling-hot new Fourth Down series with a friends-to-lovers romance between a
no-strings-attached sports analyst and the hottest damn tomboy he's ever met.
It's no secret that sports analyst Jackson Gray doesn't do relationships. What is a secret, however, is the reason why. Jackson's life is . . . complicated. And it doesn't help that his current hands-off “friendship” is with the cute-as-hell new sideline reporter he's assigned to train. Turns out, not only is the woman damn sweet, she also knows as much about football as he does. Like it or not though, Jackson has to remind himself that sex is the only thing he has to offer . . . until now.
Leila Hart's fast-growing friendship with Jackson is something she'd never risk, no matter how unbelievably seductive the reward. Becoming an NFL sportscaster has always been the goal, and thanks to Jackson's fierce support and mentoring, it all finally seems within reach. Problem is, a girl can only take so much of that sexy-as-sin voice whispering dirty, filthy football stats in her ear before she loses all self-control. A workplace romance with Jackson is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for someone with big dreams . . . and secrets of her own.

Review:
This
is my first look at a book written by Violet Duke. This was a fun read, as it
had me laughing, crying, and getting mad. You connect with both Leila and
Jackson. The story has a seamless flow, as well as capturing the emotions making
us feel each one. From the start, you feel the pull between Leila and Jackson
and are pulling for them to get their heads on correctly and see what use
readers already see, which is that these two people belong together.
The
plot line is a complex and highly developed; the character development is complete,
and you don’t feel as if anything is left out. The dialogue is very realistic and
is easily pictured in the mind as if you’re listening to it and not reading it.
For
an ARC, you don’t find any grammatical errors, and can tell the editing team as
well as the Author is through in catching the errors, which always make books
harder to read.
Conclusion:
Would
I recommend this book to others? YES
Would
I read other books written by this Author? YES
Is
this book a Novel or Novella? Novel
Is
this book priced correctly? YES

Gifted Thief (Highland Magic, #1)
Gifted Theif (Highland Magic, #1)
By Helen Harper
SUMMARY
Orphan. Runaway. Thief.
Since the moment I was ripped from my mother's womb, I've been an outcast amongst my own kind. The Sidhe might possess magical Gifts, unbelievable wealth and unfathomable power but I don't want a thing to do with them. I ran away from their lands in the Highlands of Scotland when I was eleven years old and I've never looked back. I don't need a Clan. I've got my own family of highly skilled thieves who mean more to me than any Sidhe ever could.
Unfortunately for me, the playboy heir to the Moncrieffe Clan has something I desperately need. To get it back, I'm going to have to plunge myself back into that world, no matter what the consequences may be. I suppose it's just as well I have sense of humour. I think I'm going to need it.
REVIEW
Wow I really liked this story! If you like your heroine snarky and smart she is the one for you good old Integrity! I know totally ironic name especially when she is a thief! The action is never ending right from the initial bank robbery. Everything is up for grabs and no one can be trusted! Integrity tells odd ball jokes and doesn't take anyone's crap! I am not sure how I like the "hero" though. There is something fishy about him even though everyone says he is a good man. We also have a prophecy out there and we don't know what it is.
This one ended with the quest being over, but the story just beginning. Ended with a LOTS of unanswered questions that I can't wait to be revealed! I am so waiting for the next installment. This is not really a romance book so don't think that is what you are getting...pure action and adventure with snarkiness! Enjoy!
