By C.D. Reiss

Perfect ass.

Perfect arms.

Perfect swagger.

They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King.

He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.

When he runs the bases, every woman’s eyes are glued to his stunning body and a smile that puts the night lights to shame.

I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.

Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.

My number just came up, and he is as spectacular in bed as he is on the field.

But there’s not a woman in the world who can distract Dash Wallace from the game. Not for a moment. Not even me.

Until the night I do. And everything changes.

Holy Cow!!! This was a GREAT book!!!!!!!! I could not put this down and read till 2:00 in the morning. I have always loved CD Reiss and lately her books haven't tickled my fancy so I was worried about reading this one... Trust me NO WORRIES!!!

It was great from the start and I loved every loving, sexy, baseball, jerk face, family moment! This book had it all and the characters felt so real that I got so involved I was in my own little world.

Vivian what a lady. She is the kinda girl that you love who is beautiful on the inside and out and doesn't realize it. She is tough and knows how to protect herself. She doesn't take any crap and stands her ground. She loves her dad and dang then she meets Dash...

Oh Dash I want you!!! He is unbelievably HOT and once he gets his act together he is irresistible!! Sexy baseball player and from my neck of the woods in New York State!! I had doubts about him, but he redeemed himself beyond my wildest dreams.

Hot sexiness as always with a CD Reiss story. Nuclear melt down... as I said it was hot and they hadn't even done the deed yet!! Once they do my dirty talking baseball man gets even hotter.

We got baseball too and how the superstitions and anxiety that a player has to go through. The superstitions will get you and they almost got Dash, but with a little help from Vivian....

GREAT READ!! READ IT!!! you won't have any reader remorse. I almost want to read it again slower...

Bear the Heat (Fire Bears, #3)

Bear the Heat (Fire Bears, #3)
By T.S. Joyce

Cora Wright is walking a fine line between standing up for what’s right, and keeping her job secure. As a local news reporter, her need to defend the Breck Crew of newly outed bear shifters risks everything she loves about her life. But when she meets Boone Keller, tatted up bad boy bear shifter, her world tilts dangerously on its axis. And the more he lets her into his secret life, the harder she falls for a man she isn’t supposed to love.

If Boone wants to keep the fiery news reporter he’s been secretly coveting safe, the friend-zone is where she’ll have to stay. He’s been doing a bang-up job of avoiding the woman who has been publicly rallying for his crew, but a chance meeting with Cora is killing his reserve. And when she shuts down his attempt to push her away, he’ll have to decide whether to draw her in close to protect her from his secrets, or cut her loose to save her life.

Great end to the series. I again express my surprise on how much I liked the story as I read too many shifter books and get bored.

Sweet story. This one was a tad more instant love, but that's ok it was still good. Cora is a beautiful person inside and out. They way she looks at things and helped the family was touching and beautiful. Loved her!

Boone was interesting and has a great deal trapped inside him. We got the I am nor good enough for you speal that we got from the others, but he is a sweet sexy guy.

Great read, great series.

Bear the Burn (Fire Bears, #2)

Bear the Burn (Fire Bears, #2)
By T.S. Joyce

Quinn Copeland is starting fresh in a new town where nobody knows about her past. Chronically shy, she is determined to find her courage at her new job at the town veterinary clinic. But when a stoic stranger catches her in a moment of emotional turmoil, she learns that even the toughest looking men can have warm hearts. Unfortunately for her, Dade Keller keeps his secrets close to the vest, and what she doesn’t know about him could kill her.

Dade doesn’t feel anything. Not until he finds a mousy vet technician huddled in a corner crying. Human, submissive, and shy, Quinn couldn’t be further from what he would need in a mate. The Breck Crew is in the middle of a crisis that will alter their fate forever and throw their loved ones in the crosshairs of the human public. The last thing a woman like Quinn needs is to be weighed down by what he is, but his reluctant attention to her doesn’t go unnoticed, and keeping her out of harm’s way isn’t possible anymore.

With their deepest secrets exposed, Quinn will have to find her bravery and decide if Dade’s fight is now her fight, too.

Happily surprised again!

I really like this story too. I the characters are really interesting and even in the shortness of the story you really can relate and have feelings for them.

Dade is sexy as hell. He has a heart of gold even when he doesn't express it quite right. I loved how the author showed his vulnerability without making him weak. He loved so hard and so deep even when he didn't know it was love. Again sexy fireman that please a lady!!

Quinn was a interesting lady that went through a ton of heartache. Like she told Dade. She is a heck of a lot stronger then she looks! No dumb choices and put yourself in danger moments for her so you can truly love her. She is a true survivor!

Great read. Got to see the whole bear crew again from the first book! Enjoy! On to the third installment

You Don't Own Me 2 (Russian Don, #2)

You Don't Own Me 2 (Russian Don, #2)
By Georgia Le Carre

The conclusion to Zane and Dahlia's story.

The sexy Russian, Zane, has taken my heart, but kept his intact.
I never knew a man like him existed, let alone that I would become part of his life. A man who can make a girl's heart pound like a freaking drum by his presence alone. He's the reason for the madness my life has become.
The more we are together the more my heart and soul cries out for him.
Olga says I am the one for him if I can learn to fly.
Now I wake up each day with only one thought.
Fly Dahlia, Fly ...

Dahlia Fury was the perfect toy. Beautiful, sassy, sexy.
I thought I could immerse myself in her flesh. I didn't expect the taste of her sweet nectar to become a drug in my veins.
Now I'm fighting hard to keep control.
She has no idea that there's nothing more I want than to be with her. She carries a lamp into my darkness and makes me feel alive in ways I've never felt.
I can leave the life of crime and be anything I want to be, she tells me. Maybe she's right. Maybe all I need is a reason.
Maybe the reason is her ...

A fantastic ending. I read till I was finished. The only gripe I have is that the author should have taken parts one and two and just made a single book. You buy the book thinking it is going to be the whole book and it's not. Any who.....stepping off my soap box.

I LOVED this story. Great, powerful, sexy, dramatic read. The characters were great and pulled you in. Zane's backstory was heartbreaking! Dahlia stayed by her man and he returned the favor. Zane's transformation was touching and well deserved on his part. Daisy and her theory of Karma holds up!

The drama was high and I truly wasn't sure what was going to happen. Dahlia's friends were so wonderful and helped the story along! I adore this author and I will read more of her stuff!

Honour Bound (Highland Magic, #2)

Honour Bound (Highland Magic, #2)
By Helen Harper

Integrity Taylor should have been a Clan princess. Instead she's lived a life on the very periphery of society. Now that she's learnt more about her heritage, however, and the magic that she's capable of wielding, she's not going to hide in the shadows any longer. The once-in-a-generation Sidhe Games are going to provide the perfect opportunity for her to win back her birthright - and the fact that she'll be going head to head, toe to toe and mouth to mouth with golden haired Byron Moncrieffe might just be the icing on the cake.

This is the second book in the Highland Magic series

Four Stars

Sneakily like the triwizard tournament...but no deaths.

Interesting story lots of intrigue and plot twists. At times it is hard to keep up because we are still left in the dark after two books. My rating is more 3 1/2 stars because at times the book was just s filler and I am getting tired of being jerked around with no answers.

Needless to say I have to read the next because I am still lost in the dark.

Bear My Soul (Fire Bears, #1)

Bear My Soul (Fire Bears, #1)
By T.S. Joyce

Rory Dodson is done running. After one night of bliss with a man she never thought she’d see again, she’s in trouble with a young son who is housing one ferocious little bear cub inside of him. Desperate to keep her baby’s secret safe, she has nowhere to turn but to the man she was determined to keep in her past. What she doesn’t expect is the instantaneous, heart-pounding connection she remembers from before. But all of the sex appeal in the world can’t hide the fact that Cody Keller is keeping dark secrets of his own.
Alpha bear shifter, Cody, is a firefighter by day but something more sinister by night. Towing a fine line between leading a normal life and keeping the government off his crew’s back, he has been running missions that few sane men would take, and even fewer would survive. But when the woman he has searched six years for blows back into town, toting a kid who bears his mark, his life is about to get a whole lot more complicated.
It’s not enough to protect the Breck Crew from the growing threats around him anymore. Cody will have to push back and stand up for his kind if he wants a shot at keeping his fragile new family safe from what he’s become.

Four Stars

I have read so many shifter books that I thought I knew all the plots and twists possible. But I didn't, this book surprised me and I actually really enjoyed it.

No crazy instant mates, no fate filled prophecy, no rejection, no crazy ex; just a great story.

I really like Rory, she was a strong no nonsense girl and even though she talked to an alpha male she stood her ground and was heard. No whimps and no head banging my iPad over her. Her choices were strong and thought out. She was very brave at the end. Yeah!!

Cody was interesting and I didn't like him at first, but he was well developed and you could relate to him on many levels. Hot and sexy for sure. Every girl loves a fireman! He had great chemistry with Rory and the loving is hot and statisfying! Ha!

Good read on to the second book!

God's Eye ( Northwomen Sagas, #1)

God's Eye ( Northwomen Sagas, #1)
By Susan Fanetti

Loneliness is all that Brenna has ever known. She doesn't expect that she will ever even know true companionship, let alone love. People say she was born with the mark of Odin, but Brenna feels it as a curse rather than a blessing. Those who would tell her she is favored by the Allfather are too afraid to look on her; she is apart from her people. Yet she has learned the power of her difference, and turned it to her advantage. She is a shieldmaiden, with a legendary reputation for her valor as well as for her godly gift.

Vali is a giant among his people, well-liked and respected. He is of the Úlfhéðnar, a berserker, one of Odin's own elite warriors, and one of the fiercest and bravest warriors to wield an axe or spear. He is the Storm-Wolf; his strength and ferocity are his gifts from the Allfather.

Fortune threw the two warriors together when they were but children. Fate brings them together again as warriors when two jarls ally for a raid into Estland. Again and again, Vali seeks Brenna out. He sees her; he sees the woman behind the whispers. More than that, he will not look away.

Vali has not forgotten the debt he owes Brenna from their very first meeting, and in seeking his opportunity to repay her, he finds a lonely, beautiful woman whose quiet strength captures his heart.

But the sagas do not sing of warriors who live quiet lives, or of love that does not know trial and tribulation.

Favored by the gods they may be, but that does not protect Brenna and Vali from the simple and devastating hardships of their lives. Their reputations cannot help them. It is their love that must become their legend.

Four solid stars

What a fantastic book. Lots of heartache but eventually lots of love and acceptance.

Masterful story telling. The characters were out of this world and you could relate in some way to each of them. Vali was wonderful and loyal to the bone. He was honest and forthright always. Breanna was strong beyond strong. Her blooming into the woman she became was interesting and heartwarming. Everyone has been an outcast and the horrible feelings that go with it. Everyone has value and deserves to be loved!

I am up for the next beyond a shadow of a doubt. Enjoy!
