REVIEW

The book was ok. It was interesting, but I just felt something was missing. I am up on hey it is fate wham we are in love, but there was like no development to get there. At first he sees her and doesn't feel anything then all of a sudden he has to have her because of her tattoo? Kinda pushing it there. I like the idea of the fortune teller and the tattoo, but it could have been a better developed story to start with her story and why she was in Italy. The pull between them would seem more real. The author could have had them as teens dreaming about each other. More drama more build up = better story!

Hold Me Down (The Deacons of Bourbon Street #3)

Hold Me Down (The Deacons of Bourbon Street #3)
By Jackie Ashenden

SUMMARY

Leonidas “Blue” Delacroix might be the prodigal son of New Orleans aristocrats, but the Deacons of Bourbon Street are his real family. And with their patriarch murdered, Blue wants nothing more than to unleash hell on the motorcycle club’s enemies—even if it means taking up arms against the girl who used to be his best friend. She’s done quite a bit of growing up, and suddenly their chemistry is red-hot. But where’s the line between ruthless seduction and sweet temptation?

For Alice Day, loyalty is everything. When Blue skipped town, she had no choice but to adopt a new family: their rivals, the Graveyard Ministry. Seeing him again reawakens old feelings . . . and fiery fantasies. Alice could never forget the scent of leather on his skin—just as she could never forgive the sting of his betrayal. But while the Ministry has treated her like one of their own, Blue is part of her soul. And as their liaisons hit the boiling point, Alice trusts her heart with the deadliest choice of her life.

REVIEW

Received a copy from NetGalley for a review.

I really enjoyed this book, it had everything a romance book would want in it: a bad boy seeking redemption, hot steamy sex, a strong independent girl who went through a load of crap, betrayal, drama, and some messed up side characters. The plot rolled at a great pace and kept you in the book. I really didn't know how it was going to end and I couldn't put it down because I just had to know. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was disappointed at the ending. It all seemed to wrap itself up in a neat little package after all the stress and drama. It just felt like a let down. I would read another of the series.

REVIEW
Received a copy from NetGalley in return for a review.

This book was like chocolate, I had to read it all till it was done.  This story had me wrapped up in it by the second page.  The mystery of who was haunting the castle was nerve racking and had me on the edge of my seat wondering if it was real or some one plotting against Eleanor.  I for once didn't figure it out till the reveal!  Brac was a great character and gorgeous once a male lead that actually tried to charm in a good way and not turn into instant jerk.  Eleanor was a tad bullheaded, but she pulled it out well.  Great story and the pace of the plot was perfect.  The author really showed what it was like for a woman of the time, helpless and totally at the mercy of the male in her life.  I am so glad I didn't live back then.  Eleanor made the best of it though!  It was a great read and well worth the time to read it!

At the turn of the moon, her fate hangs in the balance. . . and it’s up to her to make the right choice.
Review:
I have to start off by saying WOW, what an interesting take on shifters. The story plot line was complex.  You fall in love with Bailey and only want  Ryker to win.  From the second, Kade is introduced you know he is the bad guy and wanted nothing, but bad things to happen to him. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat needing to know the outcome at every twist and turn in the plot.  To me even with the short epilogue at the end it doesn’t feel complete, that something is missing…  I know it’s part of a series, so I hope that feeling goes away as you read the other books in this series.
Now to why I’ve only given it a four star; the flow was off in parts, and I had to reread sentences over trying to make sense out of them, on second glance, I feel a word was left out, but for some odd reason it didn’t annoy me as much as it does most times, cause it only happened twice and I was enjoying the story, so much I didn’t write down the pages and paragraphs like I normally do.  The development of the characters was spot on, and they feel so real; the plot line is a complex one and well developed.  If I hadn’t run across those two spots where I had to reread to make sense of the paragraph this would have been a five-star  book.
Conclusion:
Would I recommend this book to my friends? YES
Would I read other books from this Author? YES
Is this a Novella or Novel? Short Novel
Is this book priced correctly? Yes, the listed price seems fair for this book, and I’d pay it with not problems.

REVIEW

I have read the series that the authors wrote as Kit Rocha and I loved them, so I tried this! I am so glad I did! This was a terrific story. The characters are so complicated and real. There are no cookie cutter characters. The emotions they went through were believable and so honest it cut you to the bone. Each character grew emotionally as the story went on. Valuable lesson, everything isn't what it seems! I kinda figured out what really happened, but the authors surprised you about how it all came out. I also appreciate how the characters reacted. It was realistic and not over the top drama The story also showed you how your friends can become your family! I highly recommend this story and I will read the next one!

Review:

I’ve always been a huge fan of mysteries/thrillers and this book didn’t fail me. This is one of those books, which grab you, and you can’t let go until you’ve finished it. I started if first, think yesterday morning and went to be hours later than I normally do, so I could finish the book.

From the very first chapter you’re sitting on the edge of your seat wondering will Brooke be found before it’s too late. You connect with each of the characters as well as with the plot. You feel all the emotions as if they were your own.

For me, it brought me back home, as I grew up in Seattle and loved to float down the Tolt River, and camp in Carnation. This story has made me home sick I’ve not been back in close to thirty years, but it all came so alive to me. Thank you for bring these places so alive it made me felt like I was back home.

Every time I read I’m always on the lookout for grammatical and punctuation errors, as over the past 8 years I’ve read many books, which have so many errors in them; it makes it hard to read the book and not over look the errors.  This book is well edited; the plot flow is seamless, and the characters are well developed.

Conclusion:
Would I recommend this book to others?  YES

Would I read other books from this Author? YES

If this a novella or novel? Novel  nice length

Is this book price correctly? Yes the listed price feels about right for this book and I would be glad to pay that price for the quality of book this is.

Each more intrigued than they are willing to admit, Elizabeth and Malvern embark upon a tutelage that will challenge them, change them, come to mean everything to them...until a heartbreaking betrayal threatens to tear them apart forever.

REVIEW

This is a very good book! I enjoyed it very much. I like the plot and the pace of it was great and I had to read till the end. I was worried about how it was going to end and just cringed at the heartache caused. I loved Elizabeth! She was a woman who knew what she wanted and set out a oath to get it. She wasn't fooled and was very smart. It was nice to have a heroine with just great characteristics. Now James, well he had lots of growing up to do and he did so screaming and kicking. I was worried he wouldn't. Great book! Great hotness without too much graphic description which was nice!
