Saint (Boston Underworld, #4)

Saint (Boston Underworld, #4)
By A. Zavarelli

SUMMARY

Scarlett-

When going to war, there are three very simple rules one must abide by.

1. Know thy enemy
2. Be prepared to sacrifice.
3. Always wear good shoes

After all, revenge is a dish best served in stilettos.
I’ve got an eye for it, and nothing’s going to stand in my way.
Not even Rory ‘The Saint’ Brodrick.
He’s a fool if he thinks he can change me. By the time I’m through with him, I’ll make his mafia look like child’s play.
Cross me, Mr. Brodrick?
You better cross your heart and hope to die.

Rory-

I’m a fighter. A hustler. A mobster.
I’ve seen a few things in my day.
But I’ve never encountered anything like her.
She's a beauty with a beast of a heart. The poison apple I just can't resist. And in her trail she leaves a wake of men crawling on their knees.
What she doesn’t know is that I like my women wild.
It only makes it that much more fun to tame them.

REVIEW
I have to say I had a hard time getting into the book and that is the only reason for the 4 stars....ok I can say 4 1/2.; but once I did I couldn't put it down. I had to see what was going to happen. They were both hard to remember at first because they were in the first and second books.

Scarlett is something else. She has gone through so much. I got pissed at her lots throughout the book. I just wanted her to see Rory for what he truly was a loyal loving man that would move heaven and earth for her. My heart broke for her in so many ways. I think I would have to do what she set out to do too. They deserved so much and more.

Rory touched my heart like the Reaper did. Such a good man behind the armor of pain. Again they banded together to help each other out. Loyalty and brotherhood. He is sexy as hell too! Hot...sex in a sports car...

Great read once I got into it. Can't wait for more! Booker and Storm please!

Received an ARC from the author. Thank you so much!

Endurance (The Sin Trilogy, #4)

Endurance (The Sin Trilogy, #4)
By Georgia Cates

SUMMARY
I'm a doctor. Mobster. Killer.
My hands are covered in filth. I don't have the right to touch anything as clean and pure as Ellison MacAllister.

I distance myself ... always remaining obscure, composed, restrained.
Careful to never allow my eyes to linger too long.
Careful to hide my interest.
Careful to keep my burning desire buried beneath the surface.

I do it for her--suffer in silence--because it's what is best for the woman I love.
And she has no idea.

She'll be initiated as a Fellowship member soon. One of my mafia brothers will go through endurance so he'll earn the right to claim her.
Make her his wife.
Kill. Me. Slowly.

I'm running out of time. Only a month remains before she's beyond my reach forever.
I want to taste her. Share sleepless nights. Ride out her storm.
I want to give her the kind of nights she will still feel between her legs the next morning.
I want us to share the kind of passion that forms on our skin and drips down to saturate the sheets.
Between the sweat and the moans and the messy hair, I want her to know how hard she's been loved.

To have her is to taint her.
I should stay away. But I won't. I can't.
I'm a selfish bastard.
A selfish bastard in love.

REVIEW

Irritating but good

I was waiting for this addition and it was good. I had issues with Jamie and Ellison at times. I just wanted to pound their heads together and call them names.

Jamie was sexy as hell but dumb as a door nail! For a doctor he sure was dumb! You are part of a crime syndicate and you don't think you can protect your girl?!? You are like one of the top dudes too?!? I thought that was a lame excuse, just couldn't buy it. He was sexy and hot!

Ellison well I wasn't too mad at her but she just did whatever Jamie said and he did hurt her, but she just kept going back.

Blue and Sin are going strong...love those two!

The best part of the book is what is going on with Westlyn. I cannot wait to read that one! She is an interesting girl and I can't wait to get inside her head!

Good read, but irritated me.

Devil's Mark (The Devil's Keepers, #2)

Devil's Mark (The Devil's Keepers, #2)
 By Megan Crane

SUMMARY
Holly Chambless is tired of being the squeaky clean daughter of Lagrange’s holier-than-thou mayor. When her father is charged with corruption, she realizes that her whole life’s been a lie. Now’s her chance to do all the things she never dared, like scoring a job at a bar where reputations go to die, or reconnecting with the biker who sparked a secret hunger in her all those years ago. Holly isn’t a wide-eyed girl anymore—and this time she wants a taste of what has always been denied.

Killian “Uptown” Chenier has no time for stuck-up princesses. He likes fast bikes and wild sex. Sure, he remembers Holly. He sent her running with a wicked smile and a lesson about prying eyes. And sure, she’s grown up smoking-hot, with a body he’d like to personally desecrate. But Devil’s Keepers business is real and intense. Her daddy stole from the club, leaving his pretty blonde daughter a walking target. And when Uptown takes aim at what he wants, he never misses.

REVIEW

This book took forever and then it ended and fast forwarded so quick I didn't know what hit me.

The characters were interesting but I didn't seem to be able to get into them. Uptown was blah and really didn't light up my fire. Holly just seemed naive and clueless. Holly would let everyone treat her like crap and then just go along with it.

The story fast forwarded everything. They had sex once then were married with a kid. There was a storm brewing in the MC, but there was no answers just a fast forward 2 years.

Blah...it was just blah.

Summary:

She rides like an angel and she’s a crack shot. And Lily Starr is determined to shepherd a helpless group of outcasts from Missouri to Wyoming by Christmas—including a pregnant woman whose blessed event is drawing near. So encountering handsome Thorpe Turlow along the dangerous trail is a welcome unexpected gift, for he's as formidable as he is reserved. Besides, understanding this gentle, secretly wounded man is another challenge Lily isn't about to resist...

After the heartbreak he's found, Thorpe just wants to retreat to his peaceful Dove Creek ranch. But he's never met anyone as resourceful and straightforward as Lily. Somehow, she's reigniting his faith and giving him the courage to trust again. And if they survive the arduous trip ahead, he'll do whatever it takes to give her a lifetime of joy and love…

Review:

I rarely give out five stars, but this one is defiantly a five star book. From the very first page to the last you can’t stop reading.  First we meet Thorpe and become very intrigued with him and can’t wait to find out more about him.  Then you meet Lily and you can feel the connection between her and Thorpe and can’t wait until Thorpe realizes that he’s in love with her. I’ve read other books written by Scarlett and this is by far her best.

With all her books the plot is fully developed and wonderfully brought to life. The editing is perfect, I didn’t find any errors, which I feel take away from the flow and overall enjoyment of a story.

Conclusion:

Would you recommend this book to others? YES

Would you read other books by this Author? YES

Is this book a Novel or Novella? NOVEL

Is this book priced correctly?  The ebook is at the top of what I’d pay for an ebook as I live on a budget and won’t spend more than the price listed for this book.  The paperback price is very fare.

Drakon's Promise (Blood of the Drakon)

Drakon's Promise (Blood of the Drakon)
By N.J. Walters

SUMMARY
Darius Varkas is a drakon. He's neither human nor dragon.

He's both.

He's also the target of an ancient order who want to capture all drakons for their blood. When fresh, a drakon's blood can cure any illness and prolong a human's life, and the Knights will stop at nothing to get it.

When the Knights realize Sarah has a secret of her own, she becomes just as much a target as Darius. Her scary dragon shifter just might be her best chance at survival.

REVIEW
Well that just sucked me in and didn't let go!

Great start to the new series.  Lots of interesting plot twists and action.  It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it.   I truly didn't know how it would end.

Darius is HOT and not a jerk!  You don't have to hate him and then learn to like him.  You like him from the start and learn to love him.  He doesn't go all alpha male and make all the decisions.  He is powerful in his own right and very interesting.

Sarah is a great female lead.  She never did anything dumb or make a bad choice having you bang your head in your kindle.  She was smart and didn't take any crap.  Loved her.

Interesting take on knights and dragons.   The characters are intriguing even the bad guys!  Can't wait for more!

Deny (Jericho,Brotherhood, #3)

Deny (Jericho Brotherhood, #3)
By Jade Chandler

SUMMARY
In the third installment of Jade Chandler's down-and-dirty Jericho Brotherhood motorcycle club series, two hard cases deny the beyond-carnal bond that forms between them…until it's almost too late

When we f*ck I forget my name, but I never planned to love her.

I never thought I'd make her my old lady.

From our very first scene, we've been fighting for control. She's the one woman who can bring me to my knees, make me beg. Make me feel.

Now I need to give it all up to save her.

Fury is my weapon when I confront the enemies bold enough to lay hands on my gorgeous Marr. Raw rage is what's fueling my fight against the ones who want to end everything the Brotherhood stands for.

We're on the brink of war and I will burn this club to the ground before I let them hurt my woman again.

REVIEW
I am not sure how I feel about this addition to the series. I had a really hard time getting into the story. It was not the writing or the character development, I think it maybe that I never liked Jericho so I just couldn't really like his story. Plus I don't get into pain. It is not for me and does nothing for me. I can handle restraints and all the other kink, but whips, rods, crops, paddles.....not for me. There is a great deal of kink in the story that is all about pain.

I liked Marr but at times she was just too aggressive. She had a great deal of insecurities. I think we needed a tad more of her backstory to truly love her. She sure knew how to beat the crap out of someone for sure. My girl Avery was involved and I loved her again.

Jericho....still not thrilled with him. He is his arrogant self, but he is fighting for his President title. He does try and set things right.

The plot seemed to drag a tad and there was a ton of sex...a ton. It really picked up at the end and I couldn't put it down. I did have an issue at the end though. I just don't get I love you, but let's have sex with other people. That is just a big no in my book.

So I am really conflicted on how I feel about the whole story. I guess a 3 1/2.

Campbell's Redemption: A Highland Pride Novel

Campbell's Redemption: A Highland Pride Novel
By Sharon Cullen

SUMMARY
Like his ancestors, Iain Campbell, the Marquess of Kerr, swears loyalty to whichever government happens to be in power. Privately, however, he despises the British for the slaughter following the Battle of Culloden and finds himself playing a dangerous game of deception. When he defends a fellow Scot under cloak of darkness, Iain is wounded and must put his life in the hands of a mysterious healer. The prickly, bewitching woman saves him with her touch, though she denies Iain the pleasure of a smile from her sensuous lips—which only makes him want her all the more.

Cait Campbell has no fondness for the marquess and his political machinations. Now he makes a treacherous patient, since Cait is harboring Jacobite fugitives in her cellar. But with Iain confined to bed rest, Cait sees another side of the fierce warrior. How can she hate a man whose eyes sparkle in candlelight, a man whose voice stirs her soul? She soon discovers that he loves the Scottish people deeply—and, despite her painful intuitions, Cait is tempted to let Iain love her, too.

REVIEW
I just could not for the life of me get into this story. The other two were so good and pulled me in, this one was a total let down.

I really didn't care for either of the characters. They seemed to have no spark between them. I figured out who was the killer right way so there was no big reveal.

This was a disappointment.

Hers to Heal (Black Eagle Ops, #2)

Hers to Heal (Black Eagle Ops, #2)
By Vonnie Davis

SUMMARY
Navy SEAL Reece Browning sacrificed body and soul in the line of duty. He survived torture at the hands of America’s enemies, but lost his career and his voice in the process. Traumatized and desperate to get his PTSD under control, Reece escapes to Eagle Ridge Ranch. Under the big Texas sky, he finds peace, a renewed sense of purpose—and a woman who makes him feel like a man again. Her smile lights up his dark days, and her caress helps him forget the night terrors.

Ex-Marine Gina Wilson also bears painful scars: emotional wounds inflicted by men she once trusted with her life. She has fought hard to overcome her demons and build a good life for her daughter, and Reece is too intense, too damaged, too raw to let into her heart. Yet she’s drawn irresistibly to his steely gaze and heated embrace. No one else understands what it’s like to suffer in silence. And when Gina’s daughter is threatened, it’s Reece who risks everything to save the day.

REVIEW
3.5 stars.

It was a good book to read during Veterans Day. I really loved Reece. He went through hell and came out on the other end. His relationships with his brothers at arms was touching. His heart was made of gold. He was very sext too.

Gina at times was very infuriating and so unfair to Reece. I know she had issues too, but she just rained them down on Reece without any forethought. I am glad the members of Reece's family put her in her place. Now I know she is a mom and your child comes first, but you don't have to be so cruel. Piper at times was WAY over the top. I know the author wanted her at the front of the story, but she got very annoying quick.

Now the recovery of Reece seemed to go at light speed. It did state he had been seeing Gina for therapy for awhile so he did interact with her longer then it seemed. But it did seem he came out of his not talking fast.

Emotional read. I would like to read the next on.

As the emotional ties become stronger than ever and the paparazzi hunt her down for their next juicy story, Taylor must face some hard truths. They can’t go back. And to move forward, the key to loving Darius isn’t about keeping his secrets—it’s about exposing them.

REVIEW
This picked up literally where the last book ended. I liked it, but I am conflicted about it. I just couldn't get into Darrius' character. I felt he was a spoiled neglected rich kid who paid too much attention to what others thought about him. And for someone who could see how cruel and evil his father was he still believed everything he said. The way his father treated Allie said it all and I don't understand why that didn't open his eyes in the first place! I really couldn't see how all his actions meant he loved Taylor. He just seemed to be doing all for himself.

I loved Taylor though and I admire her for the journey she went on to find herself. I did almost get to the point where I wanted her not to be with Darrius. Allie and Micah are still going strong. Allie was giving out advice left and right. The story left much up in the air and again the third book is set up to go.

But secrets never stay secret for long, and when she finds her plaid, her memory returns and she flees. Malcolm is forced to make a difficult choice to win her back, facing his darkest fears and his worst enemy for a chance at true love.

REVIEW
Sweet read! The story was very good and the plot kept you interested to see what would happen when all the secrets would come out. Malcolm had lots to learn and "Ronat" helped him open his heart and mind to his kinsmen.

It dragged a touch but picked up at the end. Characters were well developed and their motives interesting. Good read.

REVIEW
ZZZZZZZ.....what oh yeah give me a minute to wake up...oh I am supposed to write a review?

I just have to say this was a total snore fest. Boring, predictable, and you could skip chapters without missing anything. The apex of the story was not thrilling or believable because you knew darn well it wasn't true.

There was tons of dirty talk...yet it was the same dirty talk every time. I really didn't feel the wow factor at all with them.

Oh well. You might like it, it just wasn't for me :(

My Seductive Highlander: A Higlander Hearts Novel #4

My Seductive Highlander: A Higlander Hearts Novel #4
By Maeve Greyson

SUMMARY
Though part of a legacy of time-traveling sisters, Lilia Sinclair is planted firmly in twenty-first-century Edinburgh. Her granny’s matchmaking with thirteenth-century Highlanders isn’t about to lure her into the past, especially as ancient Scotland enters troubled times. After all, Lilia is blessed—or cursed—with dire prophetic visions. To protect herself, she’s put up an icy emotional wall no man could cross—until a pair of gorgeous, rippling arms breaks right through.

Graham MacTavish is pure trouble. Once the dragon bound to Loch Ness, he’s transformed into a philanderer of the first order. In fact, because of his dalliances with other men’s wives, a rival clan wants his head on a pike. Before he provokes an all-out war, Graham is banished to the twenty-first century, where he must win Lilia’s hand—or return to die. But after meeting a lass as fierce as any Highland warrior, Graham knows one thing: life with Lilia, in any century, is a fate to embrace.

REVIEW
A great ending to the time traveling sisters. I would have given it 5 stars, but there was really no action till the end and it was just slow and kinda boring.

I loved Graham he was so funny in the 21st century. I loved how he would say something was magic or he couldn't believe what it was. He was charming yet awkward all at once. Hot and sexy too.

Lillia was interesting, but I don't think the author touched on her empath powers and how Graham would help her. It felt like that part was left out. I loved her love of animals and how they loved Graham too.

The ending allowed us to see the sisters and their loves for a moment or two.

Good ending great series. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley

Finding Gavin (Southern Boys, #2)

Finding Gavin (Southern Boys, #2)
By C.A. Harms

SUMMARY
Gavin was a broken hearted cowboy from Savannah...

The one she fell for even though he tried to warn her away.

Maria's entire life had been one rejection after another, always going after things that were just out of reach.

Gavin was no exception.

She wanted him, so desperately...

But life had a way of making things unattainable, at least for her anyway.

Just when things began to change, once again the darkness glooms, and Maria finds that her happy ending is again...

Unreachable.

REVIEW
Great story. I really enjoyed it. The characters grew in every way and the love was all over this book.

The topic of adoption was wonderful and made the story even better. Gavin was wonderful once he got his act together. He was warm loving and caring, everything Maria needed. Yeah I just inserted myself as her since we share the same name. Too bad she and I don't look anything alike.

Great read I will definitely read the next one! Enjoy!

Just as her defenses start to melt in response to his fiery desire, a threat from Luca’s past takes aim at the throne by targeting Penelope. He’ll stop at nothing to rescue her and claim his mate -- but will he be in time to stop a cruel, relentless enemy from destroying their future?

REVIEW
I liked the story at first, but then it just lost its gusto. It touched on so many topics, but then just brushed over them. The villain needed more explanation and development and how could she kill a royal? For being a "Royal" Luca sure didn't have the characteristics of a ruler or a dominant. He never seemed to take charge and if there was a hierarchy like explained then none of what happened should have.

Oh well....it did have cool dragon shifters and hot sex!

REVIEW
I started out really liking this story and then winter set in and it dragged like no tomorrow. I mean like longer then the winter in the north....boring.

The plot was very predictable. The terrible thing that happened to Asa was terrible, but not something that should have made her feel so damaged...but who am I to judge. I just didn't feel the pull between the H and h. There was little romance between them....insert yawn.....

I liked the mystical part it was interesting. The story was full of Norse history and culture.

Review:

This is a fast pace fun little Novella… I’ve not read any other books in this series as I received this book free for my review, as it’s a stand-alone Novella in the series and can be read without reading the rest of the series. I enjoyed it and would have given it higher ratings, except, there are little grammatical errors throughout… using the wrong word or leaving out a word.   To me, grammatical errors take away from the full enjoyment of the book those three star rating.

REVIEW
Sweet touching read. You will need tissues while reading. Lots of touching moments.

I liked Kori, but at times I wanted to smack her. She was really rough on Reed and I know when you were done wrong you kinda hold on to it and bring it up just to hurt the other person. She also like thought the worst every time she saw something, then when he got mad she was a total B to him.

Reed was everything a girl could want. He was romantic, sexy, caring, and all man. He was irresistible!

The book is based in towns that I know since I have. Lived on both sides of Georgia. The sleet and snow were a tad unrealistic, but now I am just being picky.

Good read, might read the next one.

A Highlander's Christmas Kiss (The MacGregors: Highland Heirs #5)

A Highlander's Christmas Kiss (The MacGregors: Highland Heirs #5)
By Paula Quinn

SUMMARY

A STRANGER'S SMILE

Christmas may be coming to Linavar, but Temperance Menzie is far from joyful. Grief-stricken over the death of her father at the hands of the Black Riders, she almost didn't see the wounded stranger in the woods. And now she's determined to give this braw, brooding Highlander the help she couldn't give her father. But there's a secret lurking in the depths of his blue-gray eyes. And Temperance won't rest until she uncovers it . . .

A LOVER'S KISS

A killer for hire. It's the last thing Cailean Grant ever thought he'd become, but being part of the Black Riders was his only way to survive. Now, his guilt grows day by day, along with his desire for the beautiful, brave lass nursing him back to health. As Christmas, the season of miracles, draws near and the truth of his identity threatens to come out, Cailean must risk the only thing he has left to lose-his heart.

REVIEW
Another great book from Paula Quinn. She does write her Highlanders with deep conflict and flaws, but with the courage to rise above and become better.

Cailean Grant is no exception to the rule. He has frozen himself from the world. He is flawed and has made poor choices. He rises above it all after his poor choices catch up with him and his frozen walls are taken away. I loved his introspection and how he changed and came through a stronger man.

Temperance was a strong female character. She too grew and changed during the story to see how vengeance can ruin your thoughts and morality. I loved her self reliance and I also loved how she needed her man too!

Another great story!  You can read this as a stand alone.  You do not have to read the other books.

Received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.

Review:
This book is a DNF.  I didn’t even get off the first page.  The first page has three paragraphs on it and in the first paragraph, he is on WET GRANITE, and then in the third he’s trapped to LIMESTONE.  These two rocks are so totally different. I couldn’t go on.  This is poor editing at its finest; I might have overlooked  this if it had been a few pages apart, but to find this kind of error on the very first page just turned my stomach.

Conclusion:

Would you recommend this book to others? NO

Would you read other book written by this Author? Unsure

Is this book a Novel or Novella? Novel

Is this book priced correctly?  No it’s over priced on the e-book and paperback.  I say this because I and everyone I know lives on a budget and won’t spend this kind of money on an author who is top rated or a name everyone recognizes.

A World Apart

Summary:  A World Apart

Lieutenant Cassandra Toma, trauma surgeon in the Romanian National Army starts her deployment at a joint-unit air base on a wrong foot, clashing on her first day with her new commander, Major David Hunt. Her rebellious nature and sassiness rival her excellent performance in the operating room—the only reason why she's not reprimanded, or maybe not the only reason.

They meet. They clash. A forbidden passion consumes them with the intensity of an erupting volcano, leaving her heartbroken and him with tarnished honor and pride as an officer. The only way out for David is disappearing into the dangerous warzone in Iraq. Their flame was supposed to be over when destiny brings them back under the same roof, this time with a common goal—to find Cassandra's brother, Maj. Robert Toma, kidnapped by insurgents while on patrol.

To rescue Robert, Cassandra and David put aside their resentments, uniting forces against a common enemy. Trying to forget the painful past, Cassandra opens up to give David—and their love—another chance. What she doesn’t realize is that her anguish is the result of David’s impetuous action—one reckless choice he made for which she may never forgive him.

His mistake, his secret, could cost them both the love they've finally found.

Review:

This book is a DNF. I’ll explain. Why.  As a Veteran whom holds respect to all persons whom serve in the Military in all Nations, I couldn’t finish this book because so many of the things are so not how the Military does things. I will admit the writing and editing of the half of the book I read was well done.  Most Nations when someone enters into the Military service as a doctor, they enter as a Caption. I also would have liked to have seen the ranks of the Romanian Military done in the correct format and a glossary of terms done at the end of the book, it would have made it more real.

Conclusion:

Would you recommend this book to others? NO

Would you read other books written by this Author? Maybe
Is this book a Novel or Novella? Novel

Is this book priced correctly? YES The prices seem to be fare.

The Vow

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Summary:  The Vow

Finals are over, and twenty-year old Claire Matthews can hardly wait to begin summer break until… she arrives home to an army of police swarming her parents’ front lawn. Detective Reynolds delivers the dreadful news that the man and woman inside the home are dead, and Claire is forced to identify their mummified bloodless bodies.  Her world comes to a grinding halt when she learns that it is her mother and father who are the deceased, and her younger brother, JJ, is nowhere to be found. The predator accused…a vampire.

Claire is no stranger to vampires; in fact, these days’ vamps are a dime a dozen. One-hundred- thirty years ago a vow was made, combining the two worlds.  A vampire’s survival no longer required a human sacrifice. Vampire Centers were created, offering human blood through transfusion; yet, why were her parents bled dry? What changed? Could a rogue vampire be responsible? Was it possible vampires, Nate and Parker, JJ’s best friends, suddenly hungered for human blood?

Review:

This book catches you from the very first page; you’re intrigued to find out who the killer is, in this thrilling murder mystery.   I loved the new take on vampires, whom live in harmony with humans all because of a vow that was made over a century ago.

When I read a book, I expect the editing to be done properly and thoroughly. As someone who dreams of being a writer, I look for the grammatical errors, which tell me if the publisher truly cares about the quality of books they are putting out on the market place. This book has many grammatical errors, which take away from the flow of the over-all book as well as the enjoyment level.

The over-all development of the plot and characters is well done.  You feel each of the emotions as well as being able to connect with the characters.

Conclusion:

Would you recommend this book to others? Maybe

Would you read other books written by this Author? Maybe

Is this book a Novel or Novella?  Novel

Is this book priced correctly? The e-book is right in line where I’d like to buy books, but the paperback is at the top end and if you’re a budget buyer it might be a little high.

Review:

DNF!!  This one I picked by the title alone and didn’t read the summary if I had I won’t have picked this book to read and review.  As a strong Christian, who reads and studies the Bible daily I found I couldn’t finish this book. I read a lot of fantasy books and love books about shifters and have even played around writing my own stories as someone who dreams of being a writer.  One thing I can not do and find it repulsive mixing fantasy and Christian believes together.

Conclusion:

Would I recommend this book to others? NO

Would I read other books by this Author? Maybe

Is this book a novel or novella? Novel

Is this book priced correctly? The e-book price is a price I would pay if I was looking for a book, but the paperback price is way over the price I’d pay for a paperback, as I never pay more than eleven dollars for a paperback book.
